EMEA Reimbursement Manager

On behalf of our client, a multinational US medical device company that is expanding its EU branch, we’re looking for an:

EMEA Reimbursement Manager

Main responsibilities:

  • Develope and execute of reimbursement strategies engaging various stakeholders with coding, coverage and payment consideration request
  • Partner with external consultants, government and public affairs to develop reimbursement programs
  • Analyze and provide insights on health policy issues affecting the company business and finding solutions to get the positive results
  • Deploy reimbursement solutions to support company’s growth strategy
  • Engage with government payors, physicians, professional agencies to secure appropriate coverage, coding and payment policies
  • Maintain proactive relationships with all key stakeholders.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of governments payor landscape, trends, and payment methodologies
  • Develope and communicate value messaging for company products by providing health economic and reimbursement support for customers

Skills and requirements

  • Bachelor‘s or Master’s degree in public health, life sciences, health policy, health economics, sciences, health services research, economics or related discipline
  • 5+ years’ in medical devices industry in market access (reimbursement, funding applications, prior authorization) and proven track record of successful reimbursement and funding applications in the health care environment
  • Strong knowledge of health insurance policies, payer/provider procedures and European reimbursement systems
  • Experience in Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) projects in medical devices, value propositions developing
  • Proven success with strategic planning and market access execution in the EU market

Other requirements

  • English fluent. Knowledge of German or French would be a plus
  • Excellent communication (both verbal and written), relationship building and presentation skills
  • Ability to interpret clinical and economic evidence and articulate company’s value proposition to payers and health technology agencies
  • Hands-on experience partnering with payers and health technology agencies
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to analyze data and turn it into actionable information for decision makers
  • Ability to strategically apply technical knowledge to a variety of business processes
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and educate customers on the impact of reimbursement requirements and the need to develop practical solutions
  • Strong project management skills
  • Knowledge in vascular and/or cardiology and/or interventional areas of medical devices
